HVAC Fundamentals

HVAC Fundamentals

Heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) is the technology of indoor environmental comfort. ... HVAC system design is a subdiscipline of mechanical engineering, based on the principles of thermodynamics, fluid mechanics and heat transfer.

There are four main types of HVAC systems. There are split systems, hybrid systems, duct-free systems, and packaged heating and air systems. Each of these types of HVAC units have pro's and con’s and knowing these factors can help you decide which is best for you.

This class will demonstrate the principles and guidelines of typical HVAC systems and how they can be implemented with the Schneider Electric EcoStruxure™ line of HVAC controls systems.  Students will be taught how to configure a state-of-the-art HVAC controls system and work on HVAC controls equipment, guided by an expert in the field.

Class sizes are small, so each student receives plenty of direct interaction with their instructor.

You can attend this course at our Canton, MA Training Facility.

BACnet Fundamentals

BACnet Fundamentals

BACnet is an acronym for Building Automation and Control Networks and is a standard communications protocol where different vendors of equipment for building automation system can integrate their devices as long as they are produced with this protocol built-in during design stage.

BACnet works by dividing the problem of interoperability into three distinct areas, and by defining methods and standards for implementing each. All information within an interoperable BACnet device is modeled in terms of one or more information objects. ... BACnet devices ask each other to perform services.

This class will demonstrate the principles and guidelines of BACnet and how they can be implemented with the Schneider Electric EcoStruxure™ line of HVAC controls systems.  Students will be taught how to configure a state-of-the-art BACnet-based system and work on BACnet equipment, guided by an expert in the field.

Class sizes are small so each student receives plenty of direct interaction with their instructor.

Web Station

Web Station

EcoStruxure Building Operation WebStation is a web-based user interface for day-to-day operation in an EcoStruxure BMS. WebStation comes built in with every EcoStruxure BMS server and provides easy access to the software from anywhere in the world.

WebStation provides a rich, responsive user interface to access the EcoStruxure BMS servers using common web browsers on Windows PCs, Mac OS computers, Android and iOS tablets and smartphones. Users can view and manage graphics, alarms, schedules, trend logs, reports, and user accounts. For improved battery life on mobile devices and for ergonomics on mobile devices, WebStation supports Dark Mode.

This class will demonstrate the principles and guidelines of running a building with the Schneider Electric EcoStruxure™ line of HVAC controls systems using the Web Station interface.  Students will be taught how to configure their systems on current, state-of-the-art equipment, guided by an expert in the field.

Class sizes are small, so each student receives plenty of direct interaction with their instructor.

You can attend this course at our Canton, MA Training Facility.
